The route from Martinborough to Hinakura along Hinakura Road has been restored, meaning the journey to this years’ Taniwha’s Den is back to that of the years before the cyclone and slips. Far quicker and safer!

We like to relax and have fun with you, and keeping it simple helps us do that.

The ticket price for TD2025 is $375.00. It includes everything that we can think of in one ticket at one price.

No early birds or ticket tiers, just the one to make it fair for everyone.

The full festival ticket gets you- 3 days and 2 nights, camping with your car, tent, campervan, caravan, or any vehicle under 12 meters long.

Free reticulated drinking water throughout the campsite, hot and cold showers, clean toilets, and great food vendors.

Back for 2025 we have -  Andrew's ''The Food Truck Show'' fun with your food, Soul Sisters’ Kobutcha Cocktails, plus more.

There will also be clothing stalls and a dress-up tent.

We welcome back “Know Your Stuff'' so that you can be safe knowing what's in the little purple pill.

Please remember If you have a vehicle over 12 meters long you will need a Large Vehicle Pass (LVP), purchased from https://shop.taniwhasden.nz/

This is our twelfth year and many of you will know the security team having danced with them in previous years. As always respecting each other is paramount. A NO MEANS NO. And if you are undecided just take half.

The festival is strictly R18, NO dogs or pets, NO glass, please. We appreciated how everyone did this in TD2024, no glass made a huge difference for our clean-up crew. No dog or pets, we would love to relax this rule, but because of our very rural location, we are unable to. There will be a resident dog onsite, Lil Boo, an English Bull Terrier who will be only too happy to give you a dog fix if you are missing yours. Luccile the horse will be looking forward to a friendly pat also.

The Taniwhas Den is an all-weather outdoor event. Bring the ‘be prepared’ bag of clothing. As most of you know it is 35 during the day and down to 6 at night. We saw a lot of fur coats on the dance floor 2024 at 3 am, you looked fabulous. Sunscreen, and hats for the hot sunny days. You are all adults we are sure you can work it out.

Don't forget the insect repellant,  cash for vendors, soap for the showers, LED lights for the campsite, plastic bottles and cans, dress-ups, and gas-only barbeques. Leave the world behind for 3 days with no wifi, internet, or cell phone coverage.

Pass Outs and WiFi are available for emergencies. Our security team leaders will arrange this on a case-by-case basis.

The Taniwhas Den reserves the right to schedule postponement dates in case of lockdown, any pandemic-related government restrictions, or for any other reason. Tickets will be valid for future postponement dates. Note: Refunds will not be offered in the case of any date changes meaning a person cannot attend the festival.

The Taniwhas Den reserves the right of access to any ticket holder. Also because we are responsible hosts we may ask you to stay a while longer with us, instead of driving home on Sunday afternoon.

As always we will continue to post and update information in the lead up to the festival.

When purchasing a ticket to the Taniwhas Den 2025 you are agreeing to our terms and conditions.
